I browsed tons of websites, and only found some at Williams-Sonoma, but they were out of stock completly. I have 3 y pink and 3 y light blue linen fabric. Want to make an SCA dress. Can I dye them to coordinate? I acquired some nice medium-weight linen fabric insanely cheap... I have 3 yds pink and 3 yds light blue, and I'm almost certain they're 100% linen. I'm new to the SCA and am in need of more garb... I was hoping to somehow use the two fabrics to make a tunic-style dress, some sort of underdress, or cotehardie, or something like that. 3 yds isn't enough, but 6 would do! I thought maybe I could dye them using the same dye and there might be a way that they at least look like they coordinate. I thought I could use the lighter fabric as the body of the dress and the darker as the sleeves and gores for fullness. Any ideas how to best proceed? I thought about black for both, but i wondered what burgundy might do (I know it would turn the pink a full burgundy, but don't know how it would affect the blue). Or what a darker blue would do (maybe turn the pink a purplish tint). Any thoughts? Would RIT do it? It isn't like I'll be out a lot of cash if anything goes wrong, but it would be cool to end up with two colors that would work and be more period, unlike the pink. I'd go for pretty much anything, if it works. Thanks!

Why does sweat stain my white t-shirts pink? Oops, I did not mean to close that! When I have a hard jog I sweat a lot. My white t-shirt is soaked. When I take it out of the linen basket 3 days later to wash it, it is covered in bright pink blotches! Things that may be relevant: This doesn't always happen. The pink washes out with a bio-soak and a hot wash. I use non-bio liquitabs and an easy-iron conditioner. I use a 'no-white marks' deodorant. I take aciclovir for an eye condition; cetirizine for hay fever; salbutamol and beclomethasone for asthma. I often drink white wine the night before so there is probably alcohol in my sweat. I often eat spicy foods. The night before the last time, I ate spaghetti bolognese with some added chilli. I use sweeteners and lo-salt. This has only been happening since I bought a new simple reed linen basket with a full white linen lining. The t-shirt doesn't touch the basket, or anything red or pin

Braided three colors of toole (the fabric that's like netting) around a very thin headband, and now have a whole lot of extra- some of it sticks up like punk, and some of it hangs down like a bridal veil. Can I dye 55% Linen, 45% Cotton pants? I was given a really nice pair of wide leg trouser linen/cotton pants. They fit perfectly the only issue is that they're BRIGHT magenta. What are the best table decorating ideas for long tables at a wedding reception? The tables are already supplied with white linen and two ivy bowls for each table by the reception site. We are puting clear glass stones inside the bowl and placing a votive candle holder and candle inside. We are clueless on how else to decorate the tables. Wedding color to match (Fushia/Hot pink)? My fav. color is hot pink, but everything I have looked up is more fushia than pink. I need a color to go with fushia. So far, for the ceremony I have white chairs, fushia sashes, white canapy/arch with fushia w/ sparkle overlay (not too much), down the isle was white connecter(tulle) and little pink flowers attached too each chair (better idea??) Color to paint bathroom with Pink tiles and chrome? I have an old 1950's master bath in desperate need of paint, but I can't afford to get rid of the old 4" square pink tiles for another 3-5 years, so I need to pick a color I can live with until then. The sink has a 4 foot long vanity with back splash in 4"pink tiles with chrome accents, sink centered. Bath tub has a matching surround. A few years ago they replaced some of the tiles with white tiles with small pink peoni flowers (that's what it looks like). The floor is 4 shades of mustardy brown with orange medallions. I might be able to replace the floor. Any ideas? Maybe a green? Small bathroom, minimum lighting and NO lighting in the bath. Lots of chrome everywhere and wood linen closet built into the bathroom. Current paint is a Navajo white. There is a built in nook that could be accented with a different color, it has glass shelves. Please help!!!! The different colored tiles are very difficult to see. They are not visible until you are at the end of the bathroom. They are surrounding the shower controls inside the tub, not visible from the door. Unfortunately it looks like painting the tiles would be out. It looked like a neat idea, but my counters tend to get wet a lot, and if I painted them I would still be stuck with the pink tiles in the tub, which apparently you CAN'T paint due to the extreme water.
